A grand ceremony was held last Friday at the Osu Chief’s Palace to mark the acceptance and induction of the Osiahene of Osu Nii Nortey Adumuah IV into Dzaase of Osu
The induction of the Osiahene is mainly to sit-in, to help steer the processes that will help achieve unity amongst the various Heads within the Osu Traditional area.
Quite apart from ensuring unity amongst the various heads the Osiahene is also required to make sure that all other matters are considered and resolved so that Osu can organize a smooth transition of burial for the late Osu Mantse Nii Kinka Dowuona VI
And lastly, with the counsel of his elders and all the traditional heads who matter, the Osiahene and the Dzaase will see to the installation of Osu Mantse who will occupy or sit on the mighty Sei Kwame Stool (the symbol of authority of the people of Osu).
In an exclusive interview with The New Crusading newspaper to inquire about what he brings to the table and his intents for the good people of Osu, Nii Adumuah IV stated that he will ensure that what they have lost traditionally in the years past due to the misunderstandings and division within their ranks will be recovered. He stated that Osu deserve more than digging fees and rather put a proper administrative mechanism in place so that they can restore some dignity.
He continued that the youth and the aged are his target to support but he said without unity most of these dreams will not materialize so therefore pleads with his the heads of families and the entire citizens of Osu to embrace the unity process in their home and bring benefit of peace to recover our lost respect.
