The Lawful head and representative of the Nii Tackie- Oblie Family of Abola Piam We in Accra, Mustapha Nii Ofoli- Oblie, has rejected claim by one Bezaleel Zola as a member of the family and urged the general public not to engage him an any business transaction in the name of the family.
A press statement signed by the lawful head of the family said ‘’BezaleelZola, a Beninois now fraudulently parades himself as a member of the Nii Tackie -Oblie family of Abola Piam We of Accra and styles himself as Nii Oyanka Anumele I of Oblie-Man Opah. The public should know that there is no town or village known as Oblieman-Opah and this is fictitious move calculated to deceive the general public’’.
‘‘The said Bezaleel Zolla has no blood relations or family ties either paternally or maternally with Nii Tackie-Oblie family. The Nii Tackie-Oblie Family won a high court Judgement no. IRL234/09 TITLED, Emmanuel Nii Dodoo Vs. Ibrahim Nii Adu-Tackie-Oblie and six others over a large tract of land at Opah belonging to my grandfather, the late Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie-Oblie and in that case an uncle of Bezaleel Zola, who was a native of Benin residing in Ghana testified as a tenant farmeron the land’, the statement said.
‘‘It cannot therefore be possible for Bezaleel Zolla to be a member of the family and the public is warned by any such indication. The said Bezaleel Zolla has also been ounce arrested and published in the Wednesday 21st August 2019 edition of the Ghanaian Times as alleged to be parading himself illegally as chief of Opah who shot at two brothers there. Nii Ayitey Okuansuro reacted positively as the legitimate chief of Opah, Daily Graphic of Thursday September 5/2019.’’
‘’He has also been cited and convicted by a high court in respect of a land which was the subject matter at the Accra High Court. The public is hereby warned of the activities of Bezaleel Zolla who has no land and not a member of the Nii T.O family. Anyone who transacts land business or deals with him in respect of land belonging to the Nii Tackie-Oblie of Abola Piam We does so at his or her own risk’’.
