Ghana’s former President HE John Agyekum Kufuor has denied malicious media reports suggesting that he has endorsed the presidential ambition of vice president, Dr Mahamud Bawumia.
In a strongly-worded two-page communique issued by the office of the former President and signed by his side Dr Kwabena Osei Adubufuor, the revered statesman called on the party machinery to stay away from internal machination in the supreme interest of the party.
At a reception at the Peduase Lodge Hotel on Father’s Day, also attended by the Vice President,
President Kufuor described all the aspirants as his children and that the party must try as much as possible to have a fair, un-engineered process to select next flagbearer.
