The Germany Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), last weekend, 1st October 2022, held a colourful and well-attended event in the German city of Dortmund to promote unity and to establish a development fund for the Branch.
The event, which was themed “for our tomorrow, we take action today: holding together, working together” was attended by many party faithfuls was “intended to promote peace and unity” and to according to the Branch Chairman, Dr Felix Yamoah. In underscoring the importance of peace within the party, Dr Felix Yamoah stated “we need peace and togetherness in order to break the 8”. He admonished the gathering to do whatever it takes “to foster unity ahead of the Party’s presidential primaries”.
On his part, the Branch treasurer, Mr Kobina Ebo in his speech explained that “the development fund is needed to assist students who are members of the Party whenever there’s the need to”. The fund, according to him “will help the Branch in prosecuting its agenda of assisting the NPP to break the 8”.
In attendance were presidential hopefuls – Joe Ghartey and Kennedy Agyepong, the National Youth Organiser, Abdul Salaam Mustafa, former CEO of State Enterprises Commission and NPP chairman aspirant, Asamoah Boateng. Others inlcuded the Director of International Affairs of the NPP, Frederick Kofi Ameyaw, deputy minister for lands and natural resources, Mireku Duker, deputy minister for finance, Dr John Kumah, amongst others.
Also represented were NPP UK, NPP Belgium, NPP Sweden, and other European branches of the Party.
