An Accra-based card carrying member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of the lower west Akim Constituency in the Eastern Region (Koforidual) Abdulai Adamu, has donated over 5000 T-Shirts, 100 Vests and undisclosed amount to the regional office of NPP at Koforidua.
The donation was to support the party in the region to carry out its campaign activities without difficulties and believed the donation would go a long way to alleviate the difficult the party was facing in Lower West Akim.
Mr Abdulai Adamu, a pharmcovigilant and assistant general manager of DKT International, in an interview disclosed that “As a member of the party it my duty to contribute my quota to the party even with the little I have.”
According to him, Lower West Akim has witness a tremendous change since the assumption of NPP government and must all support the president to continue with the good work.
He said the President and the NPP government have performed marvelously well in the first term of office and deserved a second term to do more.
He said Ghana would soon go to the poll on 7th December, and “I urged all to come out in their numbers and vote massively and handsomely to retain president Nana Addo.”
Mr. Abdulai Adamu said the kind gesture would not end here, “I am on my to the deeper villages of the Lwer West Akim to distribute more of the T-shirt, I believe in the power and strength of the grassroots and that is exactly what I am going to doing.”
Mr. Adamu called on party faithful and other stakeholders to invest in the growth of party. “If you have the means and the potential to contribute immensely towards the growth of NPP, why would you wait for anyone” adding that this could only be done with the right motivation and support. It is my belief that given the needed support with the right investments can contribute the victory and development of our dear party,” he said.
The regional chairman of the party at Koforidua, Chris Akumin Kissi thanked Mr. Abdulai Adamu for the kind gesture and urged him to continue to render his services to the NPP and advised him to continue to seek the best interest of the party as he goes round to campaign and distribute T- shirt to the grassroot.
He said “We in NPP have a strong and visionary leader, who have effective and vibrant economy and development to the people this country.”
The party chairman of Lower West Akim Mr. Michael Asanti expressed gratitude to the donation and acknowledged him for their critical role in the party and expects more of it as the party heads towards the polls in December 7, 2020.
He said, “It is importance to ensure that we have more of our T-Shirt and paraphernalia during and after the general elections, hence the presence and involvement of all the stakeholders in the party.”
