Writing through the OSU Stool Secretary Mr. Victor Nortey, the OSU Mantse Notse’ Nii Nortey Owuo IV and his elders has informed the OSU District Police Commander about their planned HOMOWO celebrations to be held on Tuesday 23rd August 2022.
Ahead of the planned celebrations to be held in August this year, they’ve also outlined other activities preceding the main event.
These includes; Nmadumo on Friday 13th May 2022 and Nmaa faa on 3rd June 2022 alongside the celebration of the Yam festival.
The next major public activity on the programme is the Dade Shifoo Festival, a week long activities scheduled for Thursday 14 July to Sunday 24 July 2022. Dade festivities will be based at Dade We, Dadebunaa, Kinkawe. However, the Osu Dade deity may take a tour of the Osu Township on Saturday 23 July 2022, from 2.00 to 4.0pm.
This being his first Homowo celebration, it will be the pleasure of Notse Nii Nortey Owuo IV and the entire citizenry of Osu, to have Notse ‘touch base’ with his people to express his affection and also enjoy the Kpokpoi meal in as many homes in the Divisions as he possibly can.
