The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has arrested a Canadian national and her Ghanaian partner in connection with an alleged arson incident at Oyarifa Anointed Down in the Greater Accra Region.
In a statement issued on December 27 and signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Brigitte Babanawo, police identified the suspects as Jennifer Mae Tomlinson, a Canadian citizen, and Mohammed Issah, her Ghanaian boyfriend.

According to the Police, preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects, who were tenants occupying the apartment at the time, deliberately set the property on fire on December 23, resulting in its complete destruction. Authorities say the act was carried out without any apparent provocation.
Mohammed Issah was arrested by officers from the Ayimensah–Abokobi Police on the day the incident occurred, while Jennifer Mae Tomlinson reportedly went into hiding and was later apprehended on December 25.
Both suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations and are expected to be arraigned before court to face charges in accordance with the law.
