The flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Philip Appiah Kubi, popularly known as Roman Fada, has congratulated John Dramani Mahama and Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang on their election victory as President-elect and Vice President-elect in the December 7, 2024, general election.
He described the win as an overwhelming endorsement by Ghanaians, signalling their trust in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to lead the nation into a transformative era.
Roman Fada emphasized that the election results show that the people want a fresh start and hope for a government that emphasizes economic revival and industrial development.
He also praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his show of statesmanship by conceding early to dose off tension and all Ghanaians for the poll’s generally peaceful conduct, which attests to the nation’s high level of political maturity.
In a statement released in Accra, Roman Fada lauded Mahama’s dedication to the well-being of Ghanaians and expressed confidence in his capacity to guide the country toward advancement and development.
He called on the President-elect to prioritize economic empowerment, healthcare, education, and the needs of underserved populations.
He underlined the importance of promoting harmony, inclusivity, and a cohesive community in which every individual feels appreciated.
Roman Fada reaffirmed his commitment to working with President-Elect Mahama’s administration to fulfil Ghana’s developmental goals and expressed faith in his leadership.
“Once again, congratulations on this momentous triumph. Ghanaians anticipate that the NDC will fulfil its commitments to the country’s citizens,” he stated.
