A former Ashanti Regional Organizer and Aspiring National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon Daniel Agyenim Boateng, has launched a blistering attack on former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, calling on the party’s leadership to immediately suspend and expel him from the NPP.
Speaking to the media, Hon Daniel Agyenim Boateng expressed deep concern over recent comments allegedly made by Kennedy Agyapong during appearances on Oman FM and Net 2 TV.
According to him, Kennedy Agyapong’s public utterances are damaging the image and unity of the NPP. He argued that sensitive party matters should be discussed behind closed doors rather than being aired publicly to the detriment of the party.
“Hon Daniel Agyenim Boateng stressed that Kennedy Agyapong is among the individuals who have benefited immensely from the NPP over the years. He noted that through the party, Kennedy Agyapong rose to national prominence, held influential positions, and enjoyed numerous opportunities that contributed to his political and business success.
He further stated that many loyal members who joined the party long before Kennedy Agyapong continue to demonstrate discipline, loyalty, and respect for the party’s structures despite their sacrifices.
In a controversial remark, Hon Agyenim Boateng suggested that education plays a significant role in shaping responsible public conduct, adding that without his educational background, he might have also spoken recklessly on matters concerning the party.
Concluding, the former Ashanti Regional Organizer and Aspiring National Organizer, called on the NPP’s national executives to take swift disciplinary action against Kennedy Agyapong. He urged the leadership to issue what he described as a “warrant” against him and expel him from the party immediately to protect the unity and integrity of the NPP.
The comments are expected to generate intense debate within the party as internal tensions continue to dominate political discussions ahead of the 2028 general elections.
