Traditional leaders of Senya Bereku in the Awutu Senya West District has successfully lunched 2024 Akumasi festival which to take off 23rd to 27th August 2024.
The theme of this year’s festival is “Unity, Peace development.
The traditional leaders assured Indigenes of Bereku to expect historic festival this year as far as peace is concern.
The acting President of Senya Bireku Traditional council, Neenyi Komtey speaking at the lunching said, the festival will be one of it kind since all the chiefs are keen to throw their support for the development of Senya Bireku.
Nenyi Kometey also commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for constructing Senya Bereku to Ojobi road.
The acting chief therefore ceased the opportunity to call on Senya Citizens living in the Diaspora to come home and witness the historic festival and also contribute towards development of the community.
Meanwhile, some of the Asafo Groups who were at the lunching ceremony also revealed that, festivals help single person to get their husband’s and wife and also boost local economy.
