The Made in Ghana Awards 2022 seeks to recognise and celebrate outstanding performances by some indigenous Ghanaian industries, businesses and entrepreneurial successes in the country.

Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O), of St. Andrews Group of Schools and Companies, Professor Richard Kofi Asiedu, received the award on behalf of the group.

The event that was organised by the Entrepreneur Foundation of Ghana (EFG), hosted players in the business sector, members of the diplomatic corps and Ministers of State, including the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, who was the guest of honour.

In her address, honourable Dokua commended the awardees for impacting the lives of Ghanaians and contributing to the national economy in these perilous times.

Assuring them of government’s continuous support to ensure that their businesses thrive especially under the 1D1F, she encouraged the awardees to prioritise the development of young entrepreneurs to reduce the high rate of unemployment in the country.

Ghana Commercial Bank, GHACEM, Ghana Port and Harbour Authority, Goil, Central furniture works and Nana Pra Agyensem VI, were among the list of companies and individuals who were honoured for their outstanding contributions towards the promotion of Made-In-Ghana goods.

On his part, the chairman of the event, Robert Ahomka-Lindsay, commended the organisers of the award for recognising the effort of indigenous Ghanaian companies and individuals who have made a mark in the lives of people and contributing to Ghana’s economy.

He urged the awardees not to relent but work to promote their brands to become globally competitive.
