The Concerned Youth of Tema West, (CYTW) a group of NPP Youth, in the Tema West Constituency, (CYTW), has called on the National Executives of the Party to call the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Ishmael Ashitey, Divine Agorhum, Regional chairman of the party and the Second Vice Chairperson of the party Joan Ada and Naa Torshie to order and stop them from scheming and planting Negative Stories in some selected News Papers against Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah.
The group at a Press Conference said it is aware of all the plans orchestrated by the officials of the party to make him unpopular in a bid to end the political career of Carlos Ahenkorah. “We are aware of all their plans to make Carlos Ahenkorah unpopular. They have made plans to send a petition to the National Council and NEC to get Mr Ahenkorah changed. This agenda is orchestrated and sponsored by Agorhum, Ashitey, Joana and Torshie”.
A statement by Nana Kwaku Nimo, secretary of the group said “we want to assure those behind these evil plans against candidate Kingsley Carlos Ahenkorah that they will not succeed “,.
According to Nana Kwaku Nimo, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman has never liked Carlos because of his perception that Hon. Carlos did not support his bid to become the Regional Chairman of the party. He is also alleged to have sponsored a candidate through his wife to contest Carlos Ahenkorah during the just ended Parliamentary Primaries but lost miserably.
“The 2nd Vice Chairperson, Joana Ada also supported and sponsored Kwasi Poku another candidate who also had 177 out of the 910 total votes”.
“We are sending a strong warning to them to stay away from, Carlos. Internal elections are over! What crime has the man committed for them to hate him so much and plot to oust him “?, they quizzed.
