Tears flowed yesterday Wednesday for Madam Gloria Aba Addison, mother of the Editor-In-Chief of The New Crusading GUIDE, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako as mourners thronged the Church at Tema Community 7
At the traditional one week observation for her passing, mourners from all scores of life especially media and the political landscape commiserated with one-time GJA Journalist of the Year.
Madam Gloria Aba Addison was called to glory at the Maritime Hospital in Tema after a short illness.
Among the dignitaries who were in attendance amid the COVID-19 protocols included the former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Mrs. Charlotte Osei, NPP General Secretary John Boadu, Ambassador Kabral Blay Amihere, former NMC Chairman, Kojo Bonsu, NDC stalwart and former KMA Major, Nana Yaa Akyempem Jantuah, CPP General Secretary, Dr. Affail Monney, GJA President among other dignitaries.
The two-hour Church service brought together all pals who shared fond memories as they consoled their friend ‘Bombay’ as they prefer to call Kweku Baako.
Meanwhile back to the Kofi Baako residence at North Labone, the Former Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Mike Aaron Ocquaye also passed through to express his condolences to the bereaved family.
“Death is inevitable but we’re hardly prepared for it so you need to be consoled”, the former Speaker stated.
Also to paaa through was Dr Kwaku Afriyie, Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation.
