…As Eric Kafui Wornyo Memorial Foundation Commissions Pavilion For School

It was all tears of joy at the Presbyterian Senior High School Legon, over the weekend, when the Eric Kafui Wornyo Memorial Foundation assisted the school with a pavilion in honour of Eric Kafui Wornyo, a past student of the school who is no more in the land of the living.
The pavilion which cost millions of cedis was built by the foundation in memory of Eric Kafui Wornyo at his beloved clerk house.
The idea for the construction of the edifice, according information was mooted by Mr. Michael Ablorh, the current Housemaster of Clerk House, who played an instrumental role in the process, together with Mrs. Yayra Ekui Domfeh, the sister of Eric as well as the Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Okudzeto Ablakwa.
The gesture, according to information was to honour their beloved son who died years ago.
Present at the sorrowful but colourful ceremony were loved ones, former classmates and family members.
Speaking with the media, the sister of Kafui, Mrs. Yayra eEkui Domfeh, said the gesture was to honour the late Eric Kafui Wornyo.
The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Michael Ablor, thanked the family of the deceased for the gesture and was optimistic it would go a long way to enhance their operations in the institution.
Eric Kafui Wornyo (Abaaba) was born on June 23rd 1984 and passed away on September 22nd 2007 at Dahlonega, near Atlanta, in the USA. He was an energetic young man. He was at the Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC) from 2002-2004 and was in Clerk House (Hse 2), where he was the Student Representative Council (SRC) leader.
He later continued his education to the North Georgia College and State University, majoring in Psychology. He had a kind heart, strong mind and cared for everyone he met.
Continuing with his legacy of caring for others, the Eric Kafui Wornyo Memorial Foundation, family and friends including Mrs. Nako Furukawa Shelnut built the Eric Kafui Wornyo Memorial Pavilion at his beloved Clerk House.
Eric Kafui is survived by the parents, Torgbui Butuvor II, Dufia of Glikpome-Akatsi, and Mrs. Georgina Attopley-Wornyo, Former Headmistress of Odorgonno Senior High and Kinbu Senior High, brothers and sisters, a large number of aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended families and loved ones.
Yesterday marked Eric’s birthday. May his gentle soul continue to rest in the abode of the almighty Elohim.
