The Universal Merchant Bank’s (UMB) has corrected an erroneous impression created by the media that its CEO, John Awuah, was sacked.
The bank said in a letter last Friday that “The Board of UMB wishes to confirm that their CEO Mr. John Awuah after four successful years of dedication and commitment to the growth of UMB has moved on per the Press Release issued on 1st February 2019.”
It continues: “Any other information contrary to the Press Release is false and must be disregarded.”
Meanwhile, the media online portal that first reported the on John Awuah leaving the bank has rendered an apology for any inconvenience its erroneous report might have cause.
