A group calling itself Western North Grassroot Agenda formed in the newly created Region, Western North with vision to advocate for appointment of rightful grassroot personalities to occupy key government positions is appealing to President Akufo-Addo to consider the Western North Regional Secretary of the party, Mr Samuel Kofi Abiaw for his selfless and dedication to serve the party since 1993.
They indicated that Western North Region, as one of the newly created regions mostly dominated and seen as a stronghold of the NDC can gain glory and be part of the NPP strongholds if they should appoint and approve grassroot participators as the fore runners as administrators of the region and the country at large.
“In fact, we have a lot of grassroot participators in the region and amongst them is our Regional Secretary, Hon Samuel Kofi Abiaw who stands tall. He has served the party from 1993 as assistant constituency secretary to his current position as the Regional Secretary without a break,” they said.
They revealed that Samuel Kofi Abiaw has been resourcing the party and his vision, dedication and selflessness has helped sustained the party in the Sefwi Wiawso, Akontombra and Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai parliamentary seats and placing the new region 6th among the sixteen regions.
The representatives from the nine constituencies, have therefore appealed to the President to appoint the Regional Secretary to serve in his current administration.
“We believe this will help our constituencies, the region and the country at large. We believe with this, Western North Region will have a strong base and become a no-go area for the NDC,” they stated.
