Honorable Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West Constituency in the Greater Accra Region has had the walk-in-the-park in her quest to become the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s 2024 parliamentary candidate for the constituency.

At the end of the January 27, 2024 contest in the constituency, the party delegates proved to have the Incumbent Member of Parliament at heart, and gave her another chance to lead them, telling her contender to wait for another time.

The Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful won the Saturday primaries with 817 votes beating her contender Roni Paa Kwesi Nicol who polled 241 votes. 20 votes were rejected.

Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful since her win in the 2012 parliamentary primaries with same Roni Nicol to represent the NPP went ahead to defeat the National Democratic Congress (NDC)s candidate in the 2012 parliamentary election and had since made the seat a zone for the NPP.
