Founder and presidential candidate for the All People’s Congress (APC) for the 2024 general elections, Dr. Hassan Ayariga, visited communities of both Kusasis’s and Mamprusi’s to express his concern about current happenings in Bawku and applauded both sides for maintaining peace in Bawku.
The APC founder underscored the need for the two factions to ensure that peace prevails to make room for development.
Dr Hassan Ayariga, after launching his campaign, calmed down tensions in the community when he was welcomed by both feuding parties and was tasked with making sure that peace was maintained in the constituency.
Dr. Ayariga, on his arrival in Bawku, first paid a courtesy call to Zugraan, the Bawku Naba and his kinsmen and then after launch his campaign.
Dr. Ayariga also met with petty traders at the Bawku market and promised them a better economy in his presidency. Healso visited the Bawku Township dominated by the Mamprusi’s lorry stations, timber market, and many shops and outlets.
Addressing chiefs and people at Bawku, where he formerly launched his political campaign, Dr. Ayariga promised to tackle corruption, poverty, insecurity, and mismanagement when elected president in December 2024 general elections.
