Mr Kobena Abban Ewudze, An Executive Businessman has been installed as the new Dabiwhene of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area to help create wealth and promote employment.
Mr Abban Ewudze, with a stool name as Nana Kobena Abban Ewudze VI, Chief of Gomoa Ekroful succeeded his late uncle Nana Abban Ewudze V, who died last year.
Nana Ewudze VI, has been sworn the oath of allegiance before Obrempon Nyanful Krampah XI, Omanhene of the area, Divisional chiefs and Queen mothers as tradition and custom to signify the installation of traditional chief.
Earlier, the Divisional Chiefs had a word of advice to the new chief and admonished him not to lord over his inhabitants or put up a behaviour contrary to the chieftaincy rules and regulations.
The Omanhene, Obrempon Nyanful Krampah said the power and authority given to the new Dabiwhene of Gomoa Ajumako was not offered opportunity to use it to suppress the inhabitants.
The Omanhene hinted that every chief was supposed to use the chance given to him by his family members, the king makers and traditional council to bring peace, security, development and transformation.
He therefore admonished the new Divisional chief to give respect to the entire inhabitants of the town, the Queenmother and head of family to enhance prosperity.
The Omanhene asked Dabbiwhene to humble himself and not to shown habits that could spark off problems, saying that this would not enhanced peace and development at Gomoa Ekroful.
The Overlord of Gomoa Ajumako tasked Dabiwhene and Ekroful Chief to spearhead the necessary developmental programmes in the area that will inure transform of life.
Nana Abban Ewudze VI, on his part expressed profound gratitude to King Krampah, Divisional Chiefs, his family members and entire inhabitants of Gomoa Ekroful for rally behind before and after his installed.
According to the new Divisional Chief of Gomoa Ajumako, as a business executive, he will do everything possible to ensure that the youth in the Area to gain employment.
He said on same jobless issue, the Ekroful made a clarion call on the investors both home and abroad to come and invest in the town to create wealth and jobs to help improve quality living standards of the people.
The Chief said his utmost priority for Gomoa Ekroful was to institute Educational Fund’ to support brilliant but needy students in the town, saying that some of them were highly brilliant has become dropouts due to financial constraints to further education.
Nana Abban Ewudze said his next vision was to mobilize resources together with the inhabitants to complete the Community Center with communal labour , adding project has been initiated.
On substance abuse, Nana Ewudze said a series of education would be held to sensitize the youth about the dangers of hard drugs, adding that after the education anyone found indulging in it would be arrested and handed over to the law enforcing agency.
He cautioned the youth to stay focus on their educational pursuit, saying education is the key to human development rather than intake of hard drugs and many others.
The nana Ekuah Arhinma II, Dabiwhemaa of Gomoa Ajumako and Queen mother of Ekroful urged parents to monitor their daughters who have been reached menstruation period and educated them on the need to abstain from premarital sex to avert teenage pregnancy.
She said it was their duty as parents to ensure that after their daughters returned from school , they study their books , adding that Ghana has been able to elect Vice President as a woman, saying any woman can be elected provided she study hard.
The Nana Arhima cautioned women to take opportunity to visit any health facility to check their breasts as Ghana and the whole World celebrated ‘Breast Cancer’ awareness in the month of October.
The Queen mother warned the youth to stop using social media to insults President, prominence Kings and other opinion leaders just because they wanted to trend, saying that it was a disgusted for them to shown such habits.
The Dabiwhemaa, added her voice to the outrageous substance abuse among the youth and urged them to desist from such behaviour, saying that it was disgracing and also will further ruin their health.
