Gyasehene of Gomoa Wassa in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region, Nana Kwesi Essel Okyea-hene has constructed 7 boreholes for 5 communities in the area after Water water crises hit Central Region following the pollution of River Ayensu by Galamseyers.
If we recall, Adom news News reported that over 10 districts in the Central Region are going through water crises after Galamseyers in the Eastern Region polluted River Ayensu, which serves Agona Kwanyarko Water works
The Gyasehene of Gomoa Wassa who doubles as the Director of Young Executive and Onua Francis Schools, Nana Kwesi Essel Okyeahene has commission seven (7) mechanized boreholes for the people of Gomoa Wassa, Gomoa Nkran, Gomoa Akwakrom, Gomoa Penanko and Gomoa Nduem(tree inside) all in the Gomoa West District.
Speaking to Adom News after the commission of all the seven borehole, Nana Kwesi Essel Okyea-hene said he was touched after seeing bthe streess the community members through before having access to water after Ghana water company shutdown their treatment plant at Agona Kwanyarko.
Nana Kwesi Essel Okyea-hene emphasized the need to give back to the community, which he has encouraged Ghanaians to visit their hometown and support them in development since the government alone canthe entire country.
Nana Kwesi Essel also said, he has also built public toilets for Gomoa Wasa Community and other social amenities for them he therefore called on Ghanaians to desist from the old mentality that witches will kill you if you develop your community.
Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for Gomoa West, Mohammed Alahji Kassim, also commended Nana Kwesi Essel Okyea-hene for supporting the communities in these difficult times.
The DCE expressed shock with what Nana has done because the whole District Assembly planned to drill 10 boreholes in the District, and if a chief has constructed seven, then Nana deserves to be praised.
