Akufo-Addo Government Advocate (AAGA), a youth group under the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has chastised the NDC Communication Director, Sammy Gyamfi to speak the truth about government’s digitisation agenda and how it is transforming lives and stop peddling lies and throwing dust into the eyes of Ghanaians.
The Vice President, Dr. Bawumia at a public lecture on how the Akufo-Addo government is using digitalization to transform the economy was dazed by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Less than 24 hours after the lecture from the beautiful landscape of Berekusu, the home of Ashesi University, where the event was held, and communicators of the NDC are trying hard to find faults with the speech.
In their attempt to rubbish the lecture, they raise concerns about how the alleged gains can put food on the tables of ordinary Ghanaians.
Several NDC communicators on social and traditional media claim that the John Mahama administration initiated the digitalisation process, or that digitalising the economy does not alleviate people’s plights.
Mr Sammy Gyamfi, the Director of Communications of the party, told an Accra-based radio station, Angel FM that Ghanaians should not take what Dr. Bawumia said seriously. He claims the Vice President made several promises, such as arresting the cedi, but it never came true.
But, speaking in defence of the Vice President, under Sammy Gyamfi’s claims, Chairman of the Central Regional Chapter of AAGA and Central Regional Treasurer of the NPP, Dr. Michael Kojo Kyeremateng believes, the act to do propaganda in everything that will benefits should not be welcomed but should appreciate.
Dr. Kyeremateng added that, the country is seeing tremendous groups, when it comes to economic transformation.
“Change is difficult for Humanity but the NPP Government under the leadership of Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia to allow Ghanaians to experience and live like the Western World, where digitisation is doing everything, it will save the nation a huge cost and help the economy to affect the entire population positively,” he added.
Dr Kyeremateng in addition called on Ghanaians to rather work in collaboration with NPP digital transformation agenda by retaining and maintaining the Party in power to see the tremendous benefits for all Ghanaians.
He was surprised, when Sammy Gyamfi under his outfit describe a waste of time for Ghana to invest in digitisation, since he believes this the transformation will rather speedy the economic growth to make more youth to be industrious and resourceful for the Great United Ghana.
He said, Ghanaians are seeing tremendous growth in Ghana when it comes to Economic Transformation.
