Landowners and prospective buyers occupying portions of a 153-acre property at Akporman have been advised to regularize their tenancy arrangements with the legally adjudged owner, Mr. Enoch Addokwei Pappoe, C.E.O of Dream Alive Building and Road Construction Limited, in line with a recent High Court ruling.
The directive follows a judgment delivered by the High Court on April 28, 2023, in the case of Enoch Addokwei Pappoe v. Daniel Adjetey Adjei & Others; Nuumo Nmashie-Akpoman and Tetteh Olewolon family (Suit No. CI/142/21), which affirmed Mr. Pappoe as the rightful owner of the expansive land.
In a formal notice issued by Gratia Law Consult, acting as solicitors for Mr. Pappoe, current occupants of the land have been instructed to take steps to regularize their tenancy and documentation within 14 days of receiving the notice.
The legal representatives emphasized that failure to comply with the directive could lead to legal actions, including the recovery of the land in accordance with the court’s orders.
“This notice serves as an opportunity for all occupants and potential buyers to engage with our client to secure proper documentation and tenancy agreements. Compliance within the stipulated time frame will protect their interest and ensure smooth legal ownership processes,” the statement noted.
Mr. Pappoe’s legal team has assured all affected individuals that the process for regularization will be transparent and straightforward, urging them to act swiftly to avoid any disputes or legal confrontations.
