The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Amen Scientific Herbal Hospital, Shiek Amin Bonsu, has received A. T. W. A. R. M. Business and Leadership Award from the China-Africa Chamber of Commerce and the West Africa Regional Magazine in China.
The awards ceremony which was held at the Kempinski Hotel in China was to recognise the immense contributions of individuals and organisations in promoting trade and commerce in the continent.
The plague which was presented to him in honour of his works reads: “This is in recognition of your impact in the herbal medicine sector in Africa. You have created a niche in the market with the Amen Scientific Herbal and Alternative Medical Hospital through effective cure and treatments for complicated diseases, of both acute and chronic in nature.”
Shiek Amin Bonsu, speaking to the media after the awards, indicated that the effective means by which Africa especially Ghana, is leveraging on herbal products to cure diseases was attracting commendations all over the world and that his recent award was a manifestation of that fact.
He, however, urged Ghanaians to patronise made in Ghana goods and products and do away with the mentality that foreign goods are always the best whilst our own is inferior.
He said the more we import goods from outside, the more we build their economy, saying that the time has come for us to patronise our own goods so as to help build our economy.
“We must Utilise what we have here to build our economy, “he said.
He also mentioned that businesses in Ghana should take advantage of the African Free Trade Area which is being hosted in Ghana to promote their services and improve on their activities towards nation building.
