The founder and leader of Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Christian Kwabena Andrew (Osofo Kyiriabossom), has advised Government to set up a criminal investigative task force to audit the personal bank accounts of all government appointees and civil servants from 2016 till date.
Osofo Kyitiabossom who is also the founder and leader of the Life Assembly Worship Centre noted that the formation of an investigative taskforce to investigate the government appointees would exposed all corrupt officials in the government.
“Formation of an investigative taskforce to probe these government officials’ accounts would not just exposed them but also generate income for the development of the country” he opined.
He also said the task force should be mandated to enquire and trace every single piece of information about the sources of their questionable income.
The man of God he has a strong belief that the current economic hardship we are being confronted with have come about as a result of corrupt practices being perpetrated by some top politicians, government appointees, and other civil servants.
Mr. Andrews is of the view that if those personal bank accounts are put under serious surveillance revenue could be accrued to the government than the proposed Electronic Transaction Levy.
