Angry chiefs of Awutu Traditional council have called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Lands Commission to set up a committee to deal with land disputes between the people of Awutu, Gomoa Fetteh and Greater Accra.
In a statement, the chiefs revealed that though Kasoa, Awutu Papase and Yamoah Nkwata do not belong to the people of Gomoa Fetteh Amamfrom they continue to harass them…
It will be recalled that, Gomoa Fetteh Nanamon held a press conference last week to announce a ban on noise making ahead of the “Awudze” ritual performance on November 3.
At the Press Conference, Nana Abori Atta II, chief of Gomoa Fetteh announced that, Kasoa, Yamoah Nkwanta, Papase and others ought to observe the ban since they fall under the Gomoa Fetteh stool.
In an interview however, Egyahene of Awutu Traditional council Nai Achieni Acheampong Kuma III noted that, the above mentioned areas do not belong to Gomoa Fetteh and therefore called on the security Agencies to make intervene in a bid to bring peace to the area.
Awutu Nanamon further called on President Akufo Addo,, the IGP and the National Security minister to intervene and demarcate the boundaries between Gomoa Fetteh And Awutu Traditional council
