A civil society group, The New Ghana Social Justice Forum, has today organized a demonstration in front of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) and at the head office of the National Petroleum Authority located in the Accra metropolis, to demand for the resignation and prosecution of BOST board members.
During the protest, the president of the forum Mr. Yahaya Alhassan, the President for the New Ghana Social Justice Forum described the Uncovered Massive Irregularities At BOST By The Auditor General Involving The Same Ownership, Enigma Co Ltd, Precious Engineering And Dass-B Electricals Competed With One Another To Win The Bid Despite Being The Same Owner Mr. Ekow Hackman, The BOST Board Chairman Shows the Level Of Corruption By Bost Officials, A Serious Crime , Equal To A Jail Term In Any Law-Abiding Country.
Furthermore, the forum claimed that BOST had incurred judgment debts totaling 3 million dollars .He believed the company has connived with the plaintiffs to loot the Ghanaian tax paper Their demands include the removal of high-ranking officials within the organization .
Mr. Alhassan described the procurement report which showed BOST bought 18 iPhones for its Corporate Executives for Twenty-Eight Million, Five Hundred and Forty-One Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixty-One Ghana Cedis (GHS28,541,261.00) as heartless, considering the number of school kids without tables and chair ,and the number of homeless Kayayei girls languishing on our streets .
He believed the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo would act accordingly to dissolve the BOST board with immediate effect.
