The Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife, Samira, left Ghana on Friday, 19th January 2018, for the United Kingdom for medical leave, on the advice of his doctors after he was taken ill.

It could be recalled that his ill-health generated mixed reactions on social media about government’s decision to go public about his ill health, when others think the announcement was right, others are of the view that it was needless.

Some sympathizers of the opposition National Democratic Congress took to social media to speculate about the health of the Vice President claiming he was died, whilst others said he was suffering from stroke.

But shockingly enough, on Saturday, January 27, 2018 photos of the hearty Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife, Samira flooded social media, spotted on the streets of London where he had been on medical leave for the past week.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife, Samira have been pictured walking the streets of London walking happily and interacting with passers-by have gone viral on social media, although it is unclear when it was recorded.
He is however back to the country to assume his official duties as the Vice President of the Republic.
