Chiefs and Elders of Kokrobite have expressed disgust at a news publication suggesting that Daniel Nii Arde Tagoe, one of the elders of the Stool is the bankroller of landguards who must be arrested.
In a Rejoinder, dated 12 September, this year, to a publication by The New Crusading GUIDE, the elders who wrote through their lawyers (TM & Partners, Legal Practitioners and Consultants) lead by Lawyer MacDonald Nii Ayitey Okai indicated that Daniel Nii Arde Tagoe is not the leader of any land guard group as claimed by the so-called group calling itself Community Rights For Development led by Tetteh Neequaye Nixon.
They stated that Daniel Nii Arde Tagoe is the Head of the Nii Arde Nkpa family, owners of Kokrobite, Langma and lands.
The Rejoinder further explained that Tetteh Neequaye Nixon who was making such frivolous claims against Daniel Nii Arde Tagoe belonged to a faction in Kokrobite that thinks Daniel Nii Arde Tagoe should not be the Head of Family.
“In view of the extensive coverage and wide readership of your newspaper, our client has received carried comments from friends, relatives and well-wishers and by reason of the publication of these misleading, offensive and defamatory words and the innuendoes contained herein, our client has been incurably injured in his credit and his reputation,” the lawyers stated.
They averred that the publication was false and an attempt to destroy the image of their client in the face of well-meaning Ghanaians and people outside the jurisdiction.
