The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) dominance in Ghana’s politics is likely to come to an end, as newly born political party, Ghana Union Movement (GUM) is keen on taking over, after the two party’s proved they cannot govern.
The messages from the leader of the party, Christian Kwabena Andrews (Osofo Kyriabossom), seems to have gone down well with the electorates, with the man of God expressing worry about how leaders after Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah have failed to help the country gets to its promised land.
When contacted about his readiness for the December 7 general elections by this reporter, Kyiriabossom, expressed happiness about how Ghanaians have accepted his party and declared their readiness to vote for him in the coming elections.
He noted his party is the only political party that could redeem the country from its current poor state saying that “It is very surprising to note how leaders after Osagyefo Doctor Kwame Nkrumah have failed to think of the welfare of the ordinary Ghanaian.”
The GUM, he said, when elected would consider the welfare of the ordinary Ghanaian and nothing else.
Kyiriabossom promised to ensure that massive infrastructural development hits every corner of the country without discrimination as has been the case with then NDC government and the current NPP administration.
“I’m not seeking to be president of Ghana to embezzle monies meant for Ghana’s development but rather to ensure every Ghanaian gets his or her share of the national cake” Kyiriabossom noted.
Kyriabossom who is also the founder and leader of the Life Assembly Worship Centre promised to ensure free port duty when elected as President of the republic come January 2021.
