…On ‘SpeakOut’ Campaign
The concerned youth of Sefwi Juaboso District in the Western North Region have rubbished as attempts to throw dust into their eyes flagbearer of the biggest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama’s fibs and propaganda tour dubbed ‘SpeakOut, Am Listening’, of the Western North Region.
As a result, the concerned youth demonstrated on the principal streets of Juaboso holding placards with varied inscriptions to demands an answer on the Airbus scandal.
According to the group, the former president must break his silence on the Airbus saga since his name featured prominently in the scandal.
Some of the placards read: John Mahama has disappointed us, No more green book president, JM and corruption are identical twins, No chance for Mahama again, Who is intermediary 5, Are you Government Official 1? Promise and fail Government among several other messages.
The group claims the NDC flagbearer, John Mahama has remained tight lipped ever since the Airbus scandal hit in town.
This has however compelled the office of the special prosecutor to commenced investigations into the scandal that has dent Ghana’s reputation globally, they noted.
The group argued that, the NPP government inherited a bad economy in 2016 from the previous government but had been able to turn things around through prudent policies and introduction of programmes and good initiatives.
They mentioned for instance, restoration of nurses and teacher trainee allowances which was scraped by NDC government, drones to transport blood to address emergencies cases, revamp of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, Nations Builder’s Corps (NABCO).
The group is, therefore, appealing to Ghanaians particularly the good people Western North Region to debunk these falsehood campaign tour of Mr. Mahama and stay focus.
