The Minister for Communication and Digitalization, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has described digitalization as a game changer in Ghana’s economic transformation process.
According to her, most developed countries across the globe attained economic success as a result of the efficient application of the digital systems.
The Communication minister therefore urged Ghanaians to have confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and vote massively for him to continue with the digitalization agenda to help achieve the needed developmental goals.
The Communications and Digitalization Minister made this known at the official launch of an innovative digital platform dubbed, Ghana Knowledge and Skiils Bank (GKSB), in Accra last Tuesday.
The initiative is designed to transform education through the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The platform, introduced by the Minister for Communication and Digitalization, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful aims to make world-class education accessible to all students, regardless of their location.
“The GKSB will provide every learner in Ghana with the opportunity to access top-tier educational resources,” said Owusu-Ekuful.
With AI integration, the platform can track student progress, offering personalized learning paths that help students identify and address areas of improvement.
One of the standout features of the GKSB is its focus on bridging the digital divide between urban and rural students.
By providing access to high-quality resources through any device, the platform ensures equitable education for all.
It also includes vocational and technical training materials, making it possible for students to acquire new skills remotely.
This portal marks a significant step in Ghana’s efforts to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting quality education.
As the platform prepares for full rollout in 2025, the government is urging educators, students, and parents to embrace this digital transformation in education.
