Emerging details from a demolition exercise that was carried out last week in East Legon-Adjiringanor in Accra, on a land purportedly belonging to Nana Egyir Aggrey, the Mawrehene of Akwiapim, in the eastern region reveal, that contrary to the emotional approach and appeals to pity, Harry Dawson rather owns the land.
Court documents, including copies of writ of possession, Execution Report, dated 25 th July, 2023, Land Certificate, and a letter addressed to the Director General CID Headquarters, requesting for assistance to possess the land in the possession of this paper confirm, that Tredstone Company Limited, which Harry Dawson is heavily attached to legally acquired the land and secured possession.
However, the New Crusading GUIDE found out that Nana Egyir Aggrey, being an ex-police officer and aged leverages on his age and goodwill within the higher ups in the service to ensure that the execution of the possession order never sees the light of day, as anytime there is an attempt to go and possess the land, he allegedly pulls strings in the police to stop it.

This time, Lawyer for Tredstone Company Limited, Jerry John Kofi Asiedu, has set in motion Notice of Penal Action to pull a stopper on the police as well as the aged man who uses emotive tools other than the law, from further harassing them when the go on to the land to develop it.
A penal action is an action brought for the purpose of imposing a penalty upon a defendant for committing a general wrong to the public.
“From the foregoing and despite no order restraining Tredstone Empire Limited from dealing with the subject matter land, Tredstone Empire Limited and its officers and workmen have suffered harassment and unwarranted arrests from officers of the Ghana Police Service,” the Notice of Penal Action, dated 30 July stated.
The notice continued that “Despite all these information and documents to that effect having been made available to the police, DCOP Kwesi Arhin, Greater Accra Regional Police Commander has directed Tredstone Empire Limited and its officers from dealing with and going onto the land pending the final determination of Suit No. C1/66/2024 intituled Joseph Kweku Aggreỹ v Tredstone Empire Limited in the absence of any
order from the High Court.”
Read excerpts of the Notice of Penal Action: TAKE NOTICE DCOP KWESI ARHIN THAT your order or directive that Tredstone Empire Limited and its officer should not go onto the land pending the final determination of the matter is not borne out of any court order and that your order in light of the High Court's decision and rulings refusing Joseph Kweku Aggrey’s applications for interlocutory injunction is intended to usurp the powers of the High Court.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that continuous interference in this matter which is purely civil and the deployment of police officers to constantly arrest, harass Tredstone EmpireLimited and its officers and further directive is arbitrary and your failure upon service of this notice to desist from same shall be contemptuous and you shall be liable for Contempt in pursuance of which this penal notice is hereby served.
Tredstone Empire Limited also hereby serves notice of its intention to commence the said contempt action against you should you fail to comply with the instant Demand notice.
This paper gathered that Execution Report dated July 6, 2023, shows Benard Kotei (Bailiff) was entrusted with executing a WRIT OF POSSESSION against Joyce B. B. Boakye, the Defendant/Judgment Debtor whom Nana Egyir Aggrey, the Mawrehene of Akwiapim, claims to have acquired the land from without evidence.
Subsequently, Notice of the Writ of Possession were posted on the disputed land and an uncompleted building in Adjiringanor on July 11, 2023.
The bailiff successfully executed the order on July 21, 2023, taking possession of the land and its two uncompleted structures, which were then handed over to the Plaintiff/Judgment Creditor, which is Tredstone Company Limited.
The High Court, under Suit No. C1/70/22, issued the Order for the Writ of Possession after hearing the affidavit of Josephine Amoasi, lawyer for Tredstone Company Limited, and the counsel for the Defendant/Judgment Debtor.
The Court granted leave for the Plaintiff/Judgment Creditor to recover the land at Adjiringanor.

According to the documents, Tredstone Company Limited purchased the land from Akwraboye Doku Family and subsequently obtained Land Title No. TDA 8014, Vol. 019.
But on attempting to start development, Tredstone was approached by Joyce Bonnie Boakye and Joseph Aggrey, who claimed ownership of the land.
This dispute led Tredstone to sue at the High Court in Adenta, resulting in a judgment in their favor on February 20, 2023, by His Lordship Justice Fred Kwasi Awuah.
In July 2023, the judgment was executed successfully, with a report dated July 25, 2023. Tredstone took possession of the property, constructing a fenced wall with a gate.
However, Tredstone revealed in documents to the police that, on the night of November 25, 2023, Nana Ofori and armed land guards forcibly removed the security personnel on-site and demolished the wall.
When Tredstone rebuilt the wall on November 27, it was demolished again.
Tredstone sought police assistance, citing the High Court’s judgment and a subsequent Writ of Possession issued by the Court, supported by a request for assistance from the Judicial Secretary.
The Ghana Police Service executed the Order, placing Tredstone in lawful possession of the land. Tredstone plans to clear the site to commence construction work.
Stay tuned for more.
