Owner of a house at Ashongman with registration number 32 AMOUR DRIVE GE 105-6995/Ghana Post Number 18 GE 105-6898, Mr. Frederick Frimpong, has petitioned the Electricity Company of Ghana to relocate an electricity transformer which has been threatening the lives of people living in the house.
A copy of the petition was also sent to the Jubilee house which is the office of the president to inform the President about the situation.

PETITION TO RELOCATE AN ELECTRICITY TRANSFORMER THREATENING LIVES OF RESIDENTS AT ASHONGMAN
I write to bring to your notice the installation of an electricity transformer in front of a house at Ashongman with house number 32 AMOUR DRIVE GE 105-6995/Ghana Post Number 18 GE 105-6898.
The electric transformer has been installed just in front of my house and the installation was done without my knowledge as the Landlord and owner of the house. It was also installed at a time that people were not in the house. That particular place where the transformer situated used to be the playing ground for children in the house and the children were deprived of their playing ground
Besides that people who have occupied the house after the installation of the Transformer have complained severally about experiencing strange rashes on their bodies due to heat emanating from the transformer into the house. Based on the closeness of the transformer to the main gate, people have refused to rent the facility causing a huge financial loss to the home owner
We have taken notice of your Rejoinder to the New Crusading Guide dated 30th January 2024 indicating that the transformer poses no threat to lives which we think is unprofessional and irresponsibly. How do you install a transformer in front of a private resident without the knowledge of the house owner and still claim it does not threaten his life. You did this without even inquiring about the plans of the land owner on the use of the site or placed you have installed the transformer; acting like a dictator in a country governed by law.
We wish you inform you that we are not happy with the position of the transformer and want you to remove it or relocated it within a period of two months failure of which we will take legal action against you. Besides that you (ECG) will be held responsible for any act of loss of life or ill health against occupants of the house. Thank You. END
