The Economic and Organised Crime Office(EOCO) has arrested Maxwell Kofi Jumah, former Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited, as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial misconduct.
Mr. Jumah was reportedly taken into custody on Tuesday, April 28, following a raid on his private residence in Kumasi. He is currently being held by EOCO officials.
Sources within the agency indicate that the arrest forms part of a wider probe into suspected breaches of public financial management regulations. Investigators are examining how state resources were managed during his tenure at GIHOC.
