The attention of EvalueAjomoroGwira NPP has been drawn to a publication in the New Crusading Guide Newspaper on Monday, 12th April, 2021 headlined “SACK DISRESPECTFUL MCE, EVALUE AjomoroGwira TRADITIONAL RULERS TO PRESIDENT.”
Our checks reveal that the above-referenced publication is coming from disgruntled and greedy members of the Municipality who want to see the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Okpenyen sacked for their selfish interests and evil agenda.
In the publication, the group claims the MCE was living in the shadows of the former MP, Hon. Catherine AbelemaAfeku. This is a palpable falsehood as the MCE served the Municipality in the best ways possible. Hon. Frank Okpenyen is supportive to the cause of the NPP and continues to do so. The relationship that existed between him and the former MP was a mutual and collaborative one that ensured the better development of the constituency. There are numerous projects and initiatives that have been achieved in the constituency due to this mutuality that existed between the MCE and the MP.
The allegation that the MCE has declined calls from Nsein traditional council to lobby for development is an obvious untruth.
The MCE over the years has collaborated with the Nsein traditional council. It is as a result of these collaborations that Nsein has benefited massively from this government.
The Nsein town roads which is being constructed is as a result of the collaboration between the MCE,the traditional council, and the former MP, Hon. Catherine AbelemaAfeku.
The Nsein secondary school roads which is being tarred is as a result of the collaboration between the MCE and the MP.
Nsein Senior High School has benefited from the government school expansion program.Through the Municipal Assembly, GETFUND has constructed 1 NO 6 unit classroom block at Nsein SHS.
Through the Assembly, TULLOW oil has constructed 500 bed capacity students’ dormitory block in the same school.
The road from Avrebo Junction throughAvrebo,Ahunyame to Adelekeso which falls under Nsein Traditional council is under construction.
The Assembly under the leadership of Hon.FrankOkpenyen has constructed a new road from Nsein town to the light industrial area. This has reduced the traveling distance from Nsein to the business center.
The MCE as part of his school uniform distribution program, recently distributed school uniforms to the students of AwulaeAgyefi Kwame II JHS.
He also donated dual school desk to the same school.
The MCE and the Former MP collaborated to get the two sons of the chief to secure job with government agencies (GNPC and Ghana GAs)
With the fight against COVID-19, Nsein traditional area received the needed support from the Assembly.
Again had it not been land litigation, the DVLA at Ayisakro would have been in the Nsein traditional area.
In 2018,the Assembly under the able leadership of Hon. Frank Okpenyen was deeply involved in the organization of Nsein kundum celebration . The MCE Hon.FrankOkpenyen was present and fully participated in the launching of the 50th anniversary of his reign and NseinKundum .It was through this that the MCE and the MP in collaboration with the chiefs invited his Excellency the vice president, Dr. Bawumia for the 50th kundum celebration
Also in 2019, the MCE in collaboration with the Assembly and Nsein traditional council celebrated the 62nd independence anniversary (6th March) at Nsein. This was the first time something of that nature happened in EvalueAjomoroGwira.
It is therefore intriguing to hear from the very chief who has benefited massively from the competence and good leadership of the MCE to turn round to accuse him of not respecting him.
If the MCE had disrespected him as he claims, how could he have brought all the above-mentioned achievements to Nsein?
Hon. Frank Okpenyen is currently paying much attention to the completion of various projects in EvalueAjomoroGwira which are at their various stages. Hon. Frank Okpenyen undoubtedly has the development of EvalueAjomoroGwira at heart, therefore any evil agenda against him must be rejected and treated with the contempt it deserves.
The relationship between the traditional council and the MCE is very cordial as a matter of fact we won massively in the Nsein traditional area so it is quite puzzling to hear this fictional allegations. It confirms the evil agenda of those who do not want to see NPP foothold in the Nzema area. They have realised that Hon. Frank OkPenyen has the strategies to keep NPP relevant in the Nzema area and all efforts to tarnish his hard won reputation is part of their agenda but it has failed.
The entire EvalueAjomoroGwira NPP is fully behind Hon. Frank Okpenyen.
We therefore appeal to His Excellency Nana AddoDankwaAkufoAddo that for continuity of NPP projects and legacies in EvalueAjomoroGwira Constituency, Hon Frank Okpenyen, must be maintained.
