Mr. Festus Bumagama Agyapong, a renowned professional Mining Engineer and native of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, has filed his nomination to contest in the forthcoming NPP’s primaries to become the party’s candidate in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
Mr. Bumagama Agyapong, who is contesting for the first time, submitted his forms to the party’s constituency office at Sefwi Wiawso after satisfying all the mandatory filling fees.
He was accompiened by some constituency executives, delegates, traditional leaders and supporters of the party in a procession amidst brass band music through some principle streets of Sefwi Wiawso to the party office to present his forms to Mr.
Emmanuel Atta-Marfo, the Constituency Secretary.
Others include polling stations executives, electoral area coordinators, council of elders and youth groups with drumming, singing and dancing to jama sons.
Addressing his supporters after submitting the form he said, his ambition to venture into active politics is not to enrich himself and his family but rather to help bring total development to the area.
Mr. Bumagama expressed his readiness to support the youth in a diverse ways to earn a better living.
He mentioned for instance, lobbying for graduates to get employment, skill training, entrepreneur, job creation and a start-up loans for traders within the area.
Mr. Emmanuel Atta-Marfo, the Constituency Secretary after receiving the forms urged the aspirants to eschew politics of insults and distasteful language.
He appealed to all the aspirants to let their campaign focus on the achievements and policies of the Akufo-Addo administration in order break the eight years mantra to stay in government.
