Fresh from her twenty million defamation suit, gospel queen, star of United Showbiz and host of the sizzling U-Cook Show, Empress Gifty Adorye, has slapped another staggering GHC20 million Slander and Libel suit on Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, aka Agradaa, the controversial ex-fetish priestess turned woman of God.
The plaintiff, who is married to firebrand politician Hopeson Adorye, is not just demanding GHS 20 million in damages, she also wants a total social media takedown and a court-ordered gag to keep her name out of Agradaa’s mouth for good.
The writ of summons, dated 25 June averred, that “…the Plaintiff claims against the defendant; a) The sum of Twenty Million Ghana Cedis (GHS20,000,000.00) for damages for slander and libel of Plaintiff by the Defendant. b) An order of perpetual injunction to restrain the Defendant, her servants, agents, privies, assigns howsoever from publication of such words or any of them or similar words to that effect. c) An order for the Defendant to pull down all the videos, audios in which she spoke the words defamatory of the Plaintiff from all her social media handles and other platforms d) Cost, including lawyer’s professional fees.”
The award-winning Empress Gifty, fresh off the 2025 TGMA win for Best Traditional Gospel Song, says her glowing brand is under fire after Agradaa unleashed a venomous social media tirade on June 15 against her.
For instance, “The Plaintiff avers that her international programs slated for August 2025 have been affected due to the words uttered by Defendant about her. Further, the Defendant spoke and published the said words out of malevolence and spite towards the Plaintiff.”
The live stream, broadcast on Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, accused Mrs. Adorye of everything from sleeping with pastors to being an HIV patient, and even claimed she “flirts with dogs for money.”
