Col. Talleh, the military officer accused of bribery in connection with illegal mining – Galamsey, has in a phone conversation with the New Crusading GUIDE and a text message strongly denied ever knowing the accuser nor taking any money from him or any other person.
In a response to the allegations made by NDC’s Commander Aboyanga of the Apinto Mines at Prestea-Huni Valley on TV XYZ, Col. Talleh said that he does not know nor has ever seen either Commander Aboyanga or any of his associates before.
He continued that he has sent a team to Tarkwa where he believes Aboyanga resides to bring him to substantiate but they could not find him as he believes Aboyanga was alerted to hide.
He also said he had contacted TV XYZ for the same reason but to no avail as he again believes Aboyanga was hinted again to run away believing the Colonel was going to take some action against him.
Col. Talleh, however, mentioned that he is aware of the Apinto Mines in question and their issue has been running since October 2024 and he has been in touch with the lawyers of the company trying to resolve some disputes in connection with the mine but has never ever met Commander Aboyanga before.
“I have seen the video. I have never even met the guy. I understand he lives in Tarkwa, and I sent a team to get him, but he had left the area. I hope to get him to remind me where he gave me the bribe. Thank you.” Col. Talleh sent this text message to emphasise his phone conversation response on the issue.
