Ghana Post, led by Managing Director Mr. Bice Osei Kufour, is spreading love through the “Vals on Wheels” program across the country.
This year, the initiative involves the distribution of 1 million chocolates nationwide, showcasing the significance of National Chocolate Day and championing locally produced chocolates.
During media engagements, Mr. Bice Osei Kufour shared insights into the program’s origin and its success in elevating the Ghana Post brand. The 3rd edition takes a comprehensive approach, reaching out to the media, incarcerated individuals, and the general public.
Gratitude extends to the media as the Fourth Estate, and chocolates find their way to traders, market women, street hawkers, taxi drivers, and others in communities with Post offices.
He stressed “The media remains a very important institution which must be celebrated at all times and we of Ghana Post have chosen this day to celebrate them as the Fourth Estate of the realm.
We are therefore giving out gifts of Ghana-made chocolates to express our gratitude for their very important role in national building. We are also distributing chocolates to traders, market women, street hawkers, taxi drivers, etc operating in communities with Post offices”.
Encouraging corporate participation, Mr. Bice Osei Kufour emphasizes the economic potential of National Chocolate Day. Alongside this, he introduces the user-friendly “Speedlink Delivery” app, now available on the Play Store.
This app allows patrons to conveniently subscribe to courier services from the comfort of their homes, marking a step towards modernizing Ghana Post’s services.
Expressing gratitude to Ghanaians for their business, Mr. Osei Kufour outlines the diverse services Ghana Post offers to Ghanaians abroad, urging them to patronize the postal service. Notably, he emphasizes Ghana Post’s capability to deliver parcels to continents across the globe.
“Due to the active nature of Ghana Post, Ghana Post has made it possible for persons aboard to eat their bush-meat soups on Saturdays and Sundays because people send their loved ones Ghanaian foodstuff through Ghana Post. At Ghana Post, we deliver to anywhere across the globe. Again, at Ghana Post aside from parcel service, we have an EMS service where we can deliver goods to someone aboard within 5 days or less”, he stated.
In a heartening response, taxi drivers who received chocolates expressed their appreciation for Mr. Bice Osei Kufour’s initiative, commending him for the thoughtful gesture.
As a testament to the positive impact, these drivers shared stories of how the chocolates became a delightful surprise for their passengers, enhancing the overall experience of their services.
