Tensions flared within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as Bono Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, launched a scathing attack on Kennedy Agyapong, vowing to “remove his artificial teeth” if he continues his alleged divisive behavior.
The clash occurred during the NPP’s “Thank You Tour” in the Bono Region, led by the party’s 2024 flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. The tour, meant to express gratitude to party supporters after their heavy electoral defeat, quickly turned chaotic when Abronye and Agyapong engaged in a heated exchange.
Abronye’s Explosive Radio Interview
Following the altercation, Abronye appeared on Wontumi Radio, where he unleashed a torrent of accusations against the outspoken MP.
“Kennedy Agyapong is evil, greedy, and selfish!”, Abronye declared. “He insults everyone in the NPP, yet he has benefited more than anyone. He took 600 million Ghana cedis from a single ECG contract under NPP government, among many others!”
Abronye further alleged that Agyapong has been secretly meeting former First Lady Lordina Mahama, leaking sensitive NPP information in exchange for payments to settle his outstanding contracts.
“He is a traitor! He goes to Lordina to betray the party that made him rich!” – he fumed.
A Threat of Physical Retribution
In a shocking turn, Abronye vowed to personally deal with Agyapong if he continues his alleged betrayal.
“If he doesn’t stop, I will remove his artificial teeth myself! He thinks he can attack everyone and get away with it? No! We will expose him!”
The threat has sparked outrage, with some condemning it as inciting violence, while others within the NPP applaud Abronye for “standing up to Agyapong’s bullying.”
Kennedy Agyapong’s Response
As of now, Kennedy Agyapong has not publicly responded to the allegations or the threat. However, sources close to him say he is preparing a fierce rebuttal, likely to escalate the feud further.
