Intelligence gathered by the New Crusading GUIDE newspaper from Sefwi Hwenampori revealed that there is a heavy tension in the area following the installation of two chiefs.
This paper has gathered from credible sources that, the Paramount chief of the Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Area, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II who double as the President of the Western Regional House of Chiefs has instructed Bibiani Anwiaso Bekwai Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Alfred Amoah to compel the Bibiani police command to provide security for the installation of one Oteng Krah from the Aaona family and now installed as Odikeo of Hwenampori without the consultation and consent of Nana Nguoa Anyimah Kodom II, chief of Bibiani and Krotihene of Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Area of which Hwenampori community falls under as a divisional chief.
This paper has also gathered that there was an existing and recognized Odikro of Hwenampori in the person of Nana Kwesi Ampomaning II who has reigned for over 49 years.
Our checks further revealed that anyone who wants to occupy the throne should be from the Aduana Royal Family but not any other family.
Owing to this, the recognized chief of Hwenampori in the person of Nana Kwasi Ampomaning was on several occasions attacked by an unknown persons with police searching his house amid several intimidations.
This development compelled him to fled from the community for safety.
Some concerned natives of Hwenampori are appealing to the Inspector General of Police, the National Security Minister and the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister to quickly intervene for Justice and total peace to prevail.
