As Ghana’s transport sector embraces technology to improve efficiency and road safety, Mrs Jacqueline Oppong Mensah is positioning VITO S-Class Services Ltd. at the forefront of a new era in vehicle inspection.

As Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mrs Oppong Mensah is leading a transformation anchored on technology, customer service and a determination to raise standards in an industry that plays a critical role in keeping Ghana’s roads safe.

Under her leadership, VITO S-Class Services Ltd., a Private Vehicle Testing Station (PVTS) authorised by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), is combining modern vehicle inspection equipment with digital solutions designed to make the testing process more accurate, transparent and efficient.

Her experience and leadership have become central to the transformation of VITO S-Class as the company expands its operations and embraces new technologies to improve vehicle inspection and customer service.

As a female executive making an impact in Ghana’s vehicle inspection and transport services industry, Mrs Oppong Mensah is combining business leadership with a strong focus on technology, operational excellence and road safety.

At the heart of this transformation is the company’s Vehicle Inspection Management System (VIMS), an enterprise platform that digitises the vehicle inspection process and provides real-time data management.

The technology complements the company’s modern German testing equipment and fully automated, computer-based inspection lanes, helping to reduce human interference and ensuring that vehicle inspection results are based on objective technical data.

For Mrs Oppong Mensah, however, innovation is not simply about acquiring sophisticated technology. It is about using technology to solve practical problems for motorists and contribute to safer roads.

“At VITO S-Class Services Ltd., our goal is to make vehicle inspection more accurate, efficient and transparent. By combining modern automated testing equipment with our Vehicle Inspection Management System, we are reducing human interference and ensuring that every inspection is driven by objective data and the highest standards of road safety,” she said.

That philosophy is also reflected in the company’s development of an AI Voice Assistant to support staff, assist customers and provide quick access to relevant vehicle inspection information.

The introduction of the DVLA Ultra Center at Dome represents another major step in the company’s transformation.

The facility is expected to provide motorists with access to a broad range of DVLA services, including vehicle registration, driver’s licence issuance, renewals and replacements, international driving permits and roadworthiness certification.

Beyond convenience, the Ultra Center fits into a wider effort to decentralise DVLA services, reduce congestion at traditional offices and minimise the activities of middlemen.

For Mrs Oppong Mensah and her team, the vision is to create an environment where motorists can access essential services efficiently, comfortably and transparently.

VITO S-Class believes the future of vehicle inspection will increasingly be shaped by the intelligent use of technology. By combining modern equipment, automated processes and digital management systems, the company is seeking to establish a new benchmark for the industry.

Mrs Oppong Mensah brings to that transformation a professional career spanning cybersecurity, information security, network engineering and technology management.

Professional Journey and Academic Excellence

Before taking the helm at VITO S-Class Services Ltd., she served as Cyber Security Program Manager at Volkswagen of America, where she managed security programmes and worked on enterprise security implementation, incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery.

Her career has also included serving as Information Security Manager at Kadant Inc., where her responsibilities covered global cybersecurity and network infrastructure across operations in North and South America, Europe and Asia. She previously worked as an Information Security Consultant with Vehicle Inspection & Technical Org and held network and security engineering roles with Symetra Financial Services and Microsoft through HCL America. Her earlier professional experience also spans technology and network support roles in the media and healthcare sectors.

Mrs Oppong Mensah’s  professional credentials include Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), ITIL, CCNP and CCNA, among others.

Academically, Mrs Oppong Mensah holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Network Security and an Associate of Science in Information Technology Network Security from Green River College. Her newest educational accomplishment is a master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Policy Management from the University of Maryland, further strengthening the blend of technical expertise, policy knowledge and leadership experience she brings to VITO S-Class.

Her extensive background in cybersecurity and technology management provides a strong foundation for the digital transformation she is championing at VITO S-Class and the company’s emphasis on secure digital systems, automation and the intelligent use of technology to improve vehicle inspection and customer service.

At the centre of that transformation is a female executive determined to demonstrate that innovation and strong leadership can go hand in hand with a commitment to public safety.

As VITO S-Class enters its next phase of growth, Mrs Oppong Mensah’s ambition is clear: to build a company that does not simply inspect vehicles but helps shape a safer, more efficient and technology-driven future for Ghana’s transport sector.
