The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Prof. Lawyer, John Kumah has earnestly begun developmental projects in his constituency to the admiration of his people.
Barely Thirty (30) days of his election as Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency, Hon. John Kumah has reconstructed the Adako Jachie to Kokoobra Bridge.
The Adako Jachie to Kokoobra Bridge got destroyed since 1968 and has since been in a very deplorable state.
This bridge is the second bridge that has been constructed since Prof. John Kumah got elected as MP for the Ejisu Constituency.
It is interesting to know that prior to his election as MP for the area, Hon. John Kumah had done a lot for the constituency in the area of education, business and health.
The Ejisu Constituency have seen massive developmental projects, many of which he sponsored just to make sure that his people are not deprived in any way.
It would be recall that prior to the 2020 general elections, his attention was drawn to the deplorable state of the Asamang bridge in the Ejisu Constituency and the inconveniences it brought to people living around the bridge.
John Kumah at the time, made a promise to the people of Asamang and its environs that he was going to rehabilitate the bridge which had broken down for over a decade.
In fulfilling his promise to his people, John Kumah on December 28, 2020 commissioned the rehabilitated Bridge in a short ceremony on the Bedewaa Amponsah River.
The bridge has brought relief to communities like Asamang, Serwaakura, Tikrom, Baworo and several smaller towns in the Ejisu constituency that depend on the bridge for their socio-economic activities.
Residents of Ejisu who are much appreciative of what Hon. John Kumah has done and continue to do for the constituency believe that he will continue to do more for Ejisu.
They said, John Ampontuah Kumah’s energy, courage and determination which he exhibited to make a difference in the lives of his constituents and in extension contribute his quota towards the realization of President Akufo-Addo’s developmental agenda, will yield positive results.
“For us, John Kumah who is now our MP serves as a good example and a perfect role model for us his constituents. He indeed inspires hope in the youth, the poor and disadvantaged in society and now that he has been given the mandate to represent us, he surely will do it to the best. We believe that the change that Ejisuman so much desire is here and it begins with John Kumah,” a resident of Ejisu said in an interview.
