Emmanuel Atta Ofori Snr, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Kwahu South in the Eastern Region has expressed gratitude to President Akufo – Addo for giving him the mandate to serve in his government in the past four years.
He also expressed profound gratitude to the assembly members, chiefs and the stakeholders of the area for having confidence in him and working together.
The MCE addressing the media after an Assembly meeting outlined the developmental projects executed under his auspices in the past four years under President Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
According to him, residents could attest there has been a massive improvement in their lives and also can pinpoint great developmental projects he raised during his tenure of office.
He said residence are impressed with his output having supported farmers in their various activities with the provision of cutlasses, seedlings and others in the twenty-six electoral areas.
Mr. Ofori affirmed that, a lot was done at both the educational and health sector, saying he was able to provide schools and hospitals with a lot of facilities.
Touching on roads, he indicated that out of the 26 electoral areas only 10 have tarred road, saying the rest are feeder roads.
He promised to do all that he can to have a better road network in the area with the help of the government.
Having been appointed to serve as MCE, he wil do everything possible to help solve issues regarding electricity in some areas at the end of the year.
He said, his appointment as the MCE by the President was not just by fluke following his ability to perform the task and he is of the view the President will not regret in his appointment.
He has therefore called on the residence to exercise patience as he vows to do more when is retained as the MCE in Nana Akufo-Addo’s second term.
