The Chief of Joma within the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Nii Armah Okropong I, has emphasized that there are no landguards operating there.
The Chief who is also the President of the Council of Joma Chiefs disclosed that the people of the area live in unity and therefore nobody should concoct stories to create division among them.
The Chief’s statement was in line with a recent publication in the media that landguards were illegally attacking people of their legally acquired properties in the area.
“I can tell the entire world that the people of Joma are peace loving people living in peace and unity. Media reports that land guards are on rampage here is false and should be disregarded” he disclosed.
The chief announced that he and his Elders would deal with all persons behind those negative publications.
The chief called on all to join hands and help develop the area and stope spreading negative and fake news about Joma and surrounding communities.
He further entreated all community members to eschew fear and go about their daily activities without fear or panic.
According to him the alleged landguards leader, Nurudeen is rather a peacemaker who is currently contributing towards the growth of the area.
