The Accra High Court, under the gavel of Justice Joseph Adu-Owusu Agyeman (Rev.), has dismissed an Application by Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the Defendant in a Ghc10 million suit brought on by the Minister for National Security, Kan Dapaah, to strike out the pleadings of the minister.
“The Application lacks the merit to be entertained. It is hereby dismissed. Cost of Ghc10,000 in favour of the Plaintiff,” the court ruled.
The Court, before ruling on 19 April 2024, stated that, (…, I have listened intently to the submissions of the Counsel for the Defendant and with all due respect I was not convinced about the fact that the Pleadings, albeit the few ones he referred to did not disclose any cause of action.”
Justice Adu-Owusu Agyeman added that “This Court cannot perceive any colouring of the Pleadings which needs to be unravelled.
