The Chief of Buadua, BarimahKwasiAnnohAgyakwa II, has been accused by some residents of Buadua and surrounding communities of illegally demolishing their buildings and structures on the BuaduaTopreman Road.
Speaking to the New Crusading Guide in an exclusive interview, Robert Bosompem, a land owner, on behalf of the victims whose buildings were allegedly pulled down by the Buadua Chief said they legally purchased the land and have the right documents covering them.
According to Robert Bosompem, he had a message from friends that the Buaduahene had sought the services of a Bulldozer to demolish all their buildings, foundations and store on the land.
‘When I got to the place, all the buildings and foundations had been demolished to my surprise. I therefore called the Chief to ask him why he did that and that he should stop and engage us to solve the problem, but he dared me to take him to wherever I wanted to take him’’, he said .
‘I therefore told him I will report him to the Akwatia Police but he dared me to do so and nothing would happen because the Akwatia Police Commander is his good friend and therefore could do nothing in terms of arresting him.
As you can see, we have all our documents covering the land granted us by the Denkyembour District Assembly, including building permits and Land Title from the district office of the lands commission. So, I don’t understand why he should go and demolished our building foundations
We are therefore appealing to the regional minister, the regional police commander and the president to intervene and bring the Buaduamanhene to order
INTERVIEW WITH BUADUAHENE

He said the so-called owners had dug foundation at the place and he went there to level them because they purchased it illegally. He quoted section 29 and 39 of the 1960 criminal act to back his decision to level the place. According to the chief, he did not sell the place to anybody and that some people in the Denkyembour district assembly went and sold the land to the people without proper layout.
