The offices and studios of Maranatha Television were razed down by fire on the 15th of December 2021.
The building, which has the networks television station in the heart of Nungua-Addogonno, a suburb of Accra, caught flames on December, 15th 2021 according to source.
Not even the metallic chairs were spared as everything was completely destroyed by the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown but the television station has since gone off-air.
the owner of the Maranatha Television station, Bishop Noble Francis Afotey Odai, disclosed that the incident was disturbing and unexpected as one might think.
He said they were having their usual program dubbed “global prayer hour” when the sudden incident occurred and they had to quickly vacate the premises for their safety.
Bishop Odai was however thankful to God for saving the lives of all the people in the building at the time of the chaos and said none of the 30 people within the premises were hurt by the fire.
“We have been servicing our equipments regularly and I don’t know why such a thing could happen to us as an entity” he stated.
The Bishop said the fire ravaged the entire building but was happy that it did not affect other houses around the premises.
