The 2024 Flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), His Excellency Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has indicated that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been promising things that have already been done by the Akufo-Addo led administration.

This according to him means nothing more but the fact that the NDC is running out of ideas.

Inaugurating the Campaign and Manifesto Committee of the party towards the 2024 General elections, Dr Bawumia averred that, the NDC led by John Mahama is all over promising free WIFI for every school when indeed, this is already rolled out and ongoing in schools across the country.

According to him, unlike the NDC, the NPP has the message, and it is also an obvious truth that from the 2024 State of the Nation Address (SoNA) delivered by the President, that the NPP government has outperformed the NDC government in every sector be it jobs, roads, schools, health facilities, agriculture etc.

“In terms of the records, our record is superior and we are ready to put it under public scrutiny. Our vision has been clearly pointed out and would be stated in our manifesto,”

“With the Committees we have inaugurated today, I can say that the ingredients for 2024 are in place but the most of the important tool for victory is unity,” he said.

He challenged members of the Committees to work hard and ensure victory.

According to him, the party wants activity in all the 140000 polling stations, hence the involvement of the entire membership.

“We want the involvement of all; both current and past executives. Past executives are very important to this course and rest assured that if we all pull together, it is possible.”

Manifesto Committee

The Manifesto Committee is to work towards finalizing the Party’s 2024 Election Manifesto.

The committees have been tasked to thoroughly review the 2016 and 2020 Election Manifesto documents to come out with a comprehensive one for 2024, which addresses the legitimate concerns of Ghanaians.

They have been charged to engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the country to create a futuristic and pragmatic manifesto that resonates with the socio-economic needs of the people.

Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and former Majority Leader, chairs the 2024 Election Manifesto Committee, with Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah being the Vice-Chairman.

Evron Hughes is the Secretary to the Committee.
