The Concern Youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bibiani-Anhwaiso-Bekwai Constituency in the Western North Region have called on President John Dramani Mahama to consider appointing the Constituency Chairman, Nana Yaw Berimah into his government.
The youth indicated it was very disappointing that Nana Berimah, popularly known as ” The Unifier ” had been left out of the President appointment despite his numerous efforts and sacrifices to reclaiming the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency seat from the NPP after twenty years.
At a press conference held at Sefwi Bekwai on Thursday, 29th May, 2025. The Converner of the Group, Mr. Emmanuel Kyei Mensah said the failure of the president to consider the NDC Constituency chairman for the area to Gold Board Role would not only be disappointing but demoralising
He further explained that the chairman had gained sufficient experience and distinguished himself throughout his thirty years in the party.
He emphasized that chairman Berimah would perform creditably when given the opportunity to serve on the board.
According to the group, Nana Yaw Berimah was born and raised in a mining community with three different reputable mining companies, namely Asante Gold Coorperation in Bibiani, Chirano Gold Mines in Chirano and Koantwi Mines in Manse aside Ghana Bauxite Company (GBC) in Sefwi Awaso which made him stands tall for Gold Board Role.
Mr. Kyei Mensah continued that Chairman Yaw Berimah in 2022 contributed immensely by injecting an amount of 200,000gh to purchase forms for NDC branch members to participate in and elect executives with the Constituency.
“We urge the NDC leadership and President John Dramani Mahama to reconsider their decision and recognise the tremendous contributions of Chairman Yaw Berimah ahead of the 2024 elections.
Mr. Yaw Berimah has held several positions in the party from branch executive to Constituency chairman. His exceptional role as a Constituency chairman made the party more attractive to youth prior to 2024 and subsequently led to the victory of the Bibiani seat.
His appointment would not only be a testament to his hard work and dedication but also a demonstration of the NDC’s commitment to rewarding party faithful and loyalists.
The NDC Group made reference to Prof. Dr. Med Ernest Yorke, who has been replaced by one Anne Sansa Daly as a member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Board following multiple reports, alleging fake medical credentials.
The NDC Youth in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency by this press conference is making a passionate appeal to President Mahama to consider appointing Nana Yaw Bariama to replace Mr. Godwin Nicholson Armah, assuming his case turns out to be true that he is a culprit.
